Oka Nozomi is a high school student attending a local art prep school with the goal of entering an art college. Despite her diligent painting skills, she is passively accepting her lack of improvement and maintains her peace of mind from the opinions of others. Then, encouraged by a single word from Nozomi, her talented friend Yatsu enrolls as a rival. Witnessing her friend's rapid rise to prominence soon after enrolling, Nozomi's frustration and disappointment at her lack of improvement reach their limits.
