Are we bound by the fate of our blood? Or do we possess it within ourselves to change our destiny? Growing up between families as a child, Dora Blunt is elated when she finally finds a place to call home in the arms of her distant aunt, Grace Blunt. Grace, having forfeit custody of her son Jack after she was deemed unfit to be a mother, views Dora as a way to correct the mistakes of her past - a gift from the heavens themselves. The two grow closer and closer, and it seems to Dora that she finally has found the place she belongs. But when Jack returns to Grace’s care, Dora finds herself experiencing mixed emotions: jealousy tinged with curiosity, joy entangled with fear, and perhaps most intensely of all, a desire to be wanted.
